Who's behind DASWeb
DASWeb isn't a company.
It's me.
One bus driver, doing the same duties, on the same rota, out of a garage just like yours.
A lot of people assume there's a business behind this, with an office and staff and someone in charge. There isn't. I built DASWeb in my own time because I wanted my duties on my phone without having to log in to my company's DASWeb every day, and it grew from there.
Why I made it
I was fed up with checking my company's DASWeb, writing my duties down and finding out about a change too late. So I wrote something that pulls my duties into my calendar and tells me when one changes. A few colleagues asked if they could use it too, and now a lot more of you do.
Every feature since has come from the same place: something I or another driver wished we had at work.
Who I'm not
Not your employer
DASWeb isn't run by your bus company.
Not TfL or Trapeze
Not made by, endorsed by or connected to either.
No investors
No shareholders, and no one else telling me what to build.
Why it costs £2.75 a month
DASWeb is £2.75 a month. I didn't make that decision lightly. Keeping it running for everyone costs real money every month: the servers that sync everyone's duties around the clock, the Apple and Google developer accounts the app needs, card fees on every payment, and everything else that keeps the lights on.
The subscription is there to keep DASWeb going and keep it improving. It's not a company making a profit off drivers.
Talk to me
When you email [email protected], it comes straight to me. Not a call centre, not a bot. I read every one, usually between shifts, so please bear with me if a reply takes a little while.
Bug reports, ideas, things that annoy you: all welcome. A lot of what's in DASWeb today started as a message from another driver.
Thanks for using it, and for helping make it better.
